Just wanted to say a big thanks to all those who attended our workshop at the weekend, it was a pleasure to have you on board and thank-you for your lovely feedback. Special thanks to the Beecroft Gallery and theatre staff, the venue, the Pinpoint Create team, Southend Museums and Jules Easlea. Our open-mic event was a blast to host, even though we clashed with Strictly Blackpool night! The breadth and depth of writing on the night was brilliant, very thought provoking and powerful. So thanks again to all who came along to support us, all who read and everyone who continues to support Sundown and what we do. We are so very appreciative and look forward to seeing you all again soon. In fact, as a thankyou to our awesome audiences, we are putting on a FREE event on 19TH DEC UPSTAIRS @ THE SHIP PUB, NEW ROAD, LEIGH – ON – SEA from 7:30PM til 10.30PM. Official post & info coming soon….
Music from NANCY WALLACE, KATE WATERFIELD and DARK GLOBES. Tunes from DJ ‘BEARDY’ AL JOHNSON.
Sundown Poets will perform a few poems too. There will be FREE 2nd-hand books, please bring any of your unwanted books along to swap or ‘swook’ with ours. There will also be FREE Christmas gifts too (steady, don’t get yer hopes up) if I can get my arse in gear in time.
Come and celebrate or commiserate Christmas with us, and also our belated birthday bash, we turn 12 on 26th November!
We look forward to seeing you there x
