Sundown open mic poetry & spoken word @ Essex Book Festival

The lovely pEBF Logoeople at this years Essex Book Festival have very kindly invited us to take part in their literature shindig, we’d love to be part of the EBF we thought so yes please!  We wanted to showcase all you lot out there, our talented writers and performers, if you’ve been to one of our ‘open-mic & spoken word’ events before then you’ll know the drill.  If not, I shall shortly give you a link to all the details.  We can only allow 5 minutes onstage this time as we have so many extra people to squeeze in!  Hopefully at the next one though we’ll allow 5-10 minutes.  Email us if you’d like to read and hurry as spots are running out fast, we will put up a tweet, FB message and a post on this site once we are full so please keep up to date with us.

As well as our open-mic performers, we’ll be hearing from Sundown Poets; Ray Morgan, Jo Overfield and Cherry Scott.  We’ll also have a guest writer and performer; Mr Daryl Easlea, he of successful rock history books such as Everybody Dance: Chic & the Politics of Disco and Without Frontiers: The Life and Music of Peter Garbiel, he’s one of the beloved DJ’s from Middle Age Spread too, he’s done loads so grab a cuppa and read it here.  Oh my we are very excited about this!

It’s on Sunday, March 15th but where’s it gonna be?  How much do I pay? Here’s the link:

All proceeds go towards Sundown Arts and keeping it a sustainable thing that we can keep doing, it never goes in our pocket!  So thank-you in advance for your kindness and support, we look forward to having a great time with you!

The Guv, x
